2012’s Ghost In The Machine article written by Ben Gomori drew attention towards the unspoken world of ‘ghost-producers’, i.e. those making music on behalf of other artists without themselves receiving any recognition in return. As well as a hidden layer of music makers, there is also a certain subsection of the community who also purchase and select records for the big name DJs; these are the personal record shoppers who are often overlooked. After two and a half years of publishing DJBroadcast International – our English language platform- it is with a heavy heart to announce that we will be suspending further publication. Although well received and appreciated by those who followed us, we struggled to make the ends justify the means. For now, DJBroadcast will add its name to the list of excellent and critical publications that struggled to survive in the online world of music media.
